wahoo fishing florida keys islamorada

Hello everyone, this is the Islamorada fishing report from Capt Kevin Brown 305-394-0792

We went out on the Gold Reserve Friday 2/10/12. The reef bite was slow so we put the wahoo baits out and went trolling. 15 minutes into it we catch a 25 pound wahoo. We put the baits back out and 15 minutes later we find a weed line packed with 10 nice mahi mahi. After that we trolled down the weed line in 300 feet of water about 8 miles offshore. We were constantly catching dolphin for a few hours. We decided to start heading home so we put the wahoo lines out and made a hard turn. 15 minutes later we get a 40 pound wahoo. That’s what I love about Islamorada if one fish isn’t biting you can always find something else to fish for. www.goldreservecharters.com

Thank you
